Why You Need Registry Cleaning Software

The registry is where your personal computer stashes all the information it needs for recalling when needed. For example, anytime you open up applications or change one of your system settings, it affects the registry. Your registry holds user profiles. It stores data that operates the applications you have, and keeps the types of documents you acquire, the kind of hardware on your system, and what interfaces are being used. So do you think you need a registry cleaner?

In time your registry might start holding on to information that is not valid any longer. You may have installed and then uninstalled some applications using the 'Add or Remove Programs' function found in your Control Panel, or maybe a registry file or object has been removed. Eventually this misplaced 'orphaned' information then begins to accumulate and overload your computer registry. This causes your computer to slow down along with system crashes and error messages. It will also cause your startup action to load much slower. A good registry cleaner is the safest and easiest way to avoid all these problems.

A good registry cleaner is able to locate and remove any invalid registry entries. With most cleaners you will have the option to remove all the located entries together or you can separate them out and remove them by choice.

It's never advisable to try to get rid of these entries manually. It can be hard to figure out which ones match up with specific applications. When you try to do it yourself you can make one small mistake and end up totally crashing your system. Then you need a costly professional to help you or maybe even have to buy a new PC. Using a good registry cleaner is safe and easy.

Another thing to remember is that when you are removing a program instead of simply right-clicking and deleting it, you should go to your Control Panel and use the Add or Remove Programs tool. This ensure that your registry entries associated with it will be removed safely.

If you accidentally remove something that you need in your registry all is not lost. Just like with Microsoft Word your computer has an 'UNDO' feature. The name of this feature is 'System Restore'. With this program you can restore your computer to an earlier time before your problems began.

You should clean up your registry at least once a month. As corrupt files and errors pile up in the registry your system's integrity gets compromised. If you fail to fix these issues, your system can start freezing up and crashing which makes your computer worthless. So save yourself a lot of headaches and buy a good registry cleaner and use it.

Is your windows computer running slow? Does it constantly freeze up? If you are answering yes, there is a huge chance that your computer registry might be corrupted. You can simply use a pc cleanup software and have your PC running like new again in no time.

How To Fix Your Registry

Do you have a registry that's giving you trouble? Are you wondering about trying to fix it? You basically have two ways to do this. You can take advantage of a good registry cleaner, or you can try to do it manually. Let's explore both options. First of all you'll need to understand what a registry actually is.

What's a registry? - All information that deals with your system and its hardware and software, along with your user configuration data, gets stored and tracked by your Windows registry. Any task you perform while the operating system is working goes through your registry first. What this means is that your registry is the heart of your entire computer system and when it's damaged it's a serious problem. However, no matter what you do this damage to your registry is going to happen. When you properly maintain your computer it will happen slower, but it still happens. This means being able to clean your registry is an urgent and crucial ability.

The second way of cleaning your registry is to do it manually. You can attempt to do this but all the experts will tell you that this is a big risk. If you are not trained for this you can wind up causing way more problems than you already have. It only takes one wrongly deleted entry or file, or one little mistake, and your computer can be totally messed up. Then you will have to call in a professional which can be really expensive.

Repairing Your Registry With A Cleaner - When you opt for using a good cleaner as opposed to repairing your registry manually you have made a wise choice. These software programs can safely remove and repair all the errors that are slowing down your computer. It can do all this with just one simple click of your mouse. Even the experts use these programs. Good registry cleaners are able to remove literally hundreds of errors quite easily.

You need to be careful though because you'll find that there are many registry cleaner programs out there that are totally unreliable. Some are designed to infect your computer rather than fix it, so you need to only purchase a registry cleaner from a company of good reputation. If not you can pick up malware that will damage your computer even more. Do some research and read some reviews before you fork over your money for a registry cleaner.

Is your windows computer running slow? Does it constantly freeze up? If you are answering yes, there is a huge chance that your computer registry might be corrupted. You can simply use a pc cleanup software and have your PC running like new again in no time.

Cleaning Up Your Computer Registry

When you use a registry cleaner it helps to easily and safely clean up or repair problems within your computer registry with just a click of your mouse. Memory in your PC that stays unlearned over some time will make your PC run extremely slow because it's a very impotent component of your operating system, so it's crucial that you learn how to properly clean up the computer registry. The best way is to use a high quality registry cleaning software that will speed your computer up quickly.

Problems that affect your Windows registry can cause your system to crash very easily. Errors can be created for all your personal information found in the different files on your hard disk. There can be a lot of reasons for these problems like characters being left behind after removing a software program or the improper removal of software. Other reasons are missing drive detectors or corrupt hardware. These types of things can increase the size of your registry in a negative way and slow down computer performance. It causes Windows to have to search longer for the data it needs to run efficiently.

A good registry cleaner will scan your Windows files and locate any invalid entries or outdated information. After fixing these errors your PC will run a lot faster. To protect yourself you need to have a program that offers a backup so you can restore your PC if anything goes wrong with the cleaning. It will automatically detect and delete unnecessary entries. It will clean up the Start-up manager that control the programs that automatically load when your reboot or turn you system on.

These steps are the way you clean your memory. You need to buy or download a good registry cleaner and install it. It's always a necessity to run this program as the administrator to let it clear all of your system. Once the installation is complete it will include a sub menu for beginning the cleaning process.

From the sub menu of your application software, you can begin the quick scan of your system files. The scan will then give you a report on the errors it has found. Then you will be given options. You can either repair the errors or ignore them. To repair them you simply select the 'fix' option and the software will automatically fix them.

You also have an uninstall feature. This will uninstall redundant programs and remove them. This ensures that their effect on your operating system is totally eliminated. You do this by using the tool menu and then selecting the uninstall manager.

Your start-up manager controls your application programs that load and start whenever Windows boots up, so users need to take advantage of this application for keeping the OS running smoothly. These tips will help you to keep your computer running faster and a lot more efficiently. A good registry cleaner is highly recommended for a slow computer.

Is your windows computer running slow? Does it constantly freeze up? If you are answering yes, there is a huge chance that your computer registry might be corrupted. You can simply use a pc cleanup software and have your PC running like new again in no time.

Fixing A Slow Computer Startup With A Registry Cleaner

After buying a computer, installing the operating system, and then connecting to the Internet it's time to browse around. Then you start to notice that you aren't getting access to a lot of content because you don't have the right software installed.

That's when trouble starts with your computer and you experience slowdown. You begin downloading software programs and accessing a lot of sites. Sometimes you might unknowingly add a few programs to the startup sequence. This enlarges it and causes a slower response time.

Whenever you turn your PC power on it loads up your default setting and the downloaded programs you have in your startup that have been permitted by the operating system. The more programs you include in your startup sequence the longer it takes them to load.

If you've been experiencing this kind of slowdown then limiting how many programs you have in your startup sequence can help you maintain some speed on your computer. But for a non-techie to try to do this may be a daunting task.

An alternative method of speeding up your computer is to uninstall all programs that are causing the slowing down of your PC. One of the best ways of editing your startup sequence is to run a good registry cleaner on your computer. The best cleaners will have a program manager that performs this task safely and quickly.

Inside the program manager you will find the startup manager. By opening up this section there will be an editable list of all the installed programs that will automatically begin to work once you push the power button and your startup sequence kicks in. Each individual registry cleaner might have a little different way of working but basically they all work the same.

The list will then be displayed along with check boxes beside every entry. This gives you the option of keeping or removing programs you don't want to load on your startups. By unchecking the box beside the programs you don't want to load, they will not kick into loading mode when you turn on your computer.

You can access your startup programs by clicking on 'Start', then 'Run'. When the popup box appears type in 'msconfig', click 'OK' and another box will show up. Click on the 'startup' tab and then you can uncheck any programs you don't want.

Just follow the prompts from there and you will have cleaned up your startup sequence and will have a much faster loading time when you start your computer. A good registry cleaner can do this for you and more. You can find plenty of them online but you need to thoroughly research them before you part with your money.

Is your windows computer running slow? Does it constantly freeze up? If you are answering yes, there is a huge chance that your computer registry might be corrupted. You can simply use a pc cleanup software and have your PC running like new again in no time.

How You Can Clean Up Your Windows Registry

The Windows registry needs to be constantly protected for you to get maximum speed and optimal performance. Aside from hardware issues, memory problems, and things that have absolutely no relation to your registry problems, these problems cannot be fixed by the registry itself. Most system related issues exist within the registry. They need to be fixed immediately to keep your PC running efficiently and updated.

You may run across a lot of registry problems before. Even the latest operating systems experience registry problems. They are where all the configuration settings are found. If one small configuration is corrupted for any reason it will directly affect the hardware of software associated with it. This means the integrity and the protection of your registry is something you need to make a priority so your computer will run smoothly.

A registry can be corrupted in a lot of ways. Many factors can cause the corruption of your Windows registry. Some of the more important ones are:

Installing programs. Whenever you install a new program your registry will add a value and a configuration setting for it, but if it doesn't install completely then the location as well as other information is partially stored but in a corrupt form. This creates operating issues later on in your registry.

Another reason for slowdown is uninstalling programs from your PC. Many times remnants of the program remain within your Windows registry. These leftover entries after time will accumulate and become bigger problems. They can lead to more than just slowdown, but to blue screen errors and crashes.

Viruses and malware are some of the biggest reasons for computer registry problems. Viruses can really cause some damage to your registry. They have the capability to do this because they've been designed just for that purpose. Viruses will modify your essential Windows registry entries in a way that evades your security.

These three facts are vitally important because they can corrupt your registry and create even more system issues as well. In order to remove a virus you need a good antivirus software program. This will be able to eliminate all of the malicious entries from the registry, but one thing about an antivirus program is that it's not designed to fix a corrupt Windows registry. This is where a good registry cleaner is required.

In order to remove the numerous corrupt registry values like empty keys, file path folders, Class IDs, and other similar items you need to make use of a good registry repair tool. They can safely remove unwanted corruption from your registry without having any negative affects on your systems or any other applications you have on your computer.

There are lots of registry cleaner tools to be found online. Not all are effective or reliable. You need to research them and find the best one for your computer needs. A good registry cleaner can keep your computer running the way it should.

Is your windows computer running slow? Does it constantly freeze up? If you are answering yes, there is a huge chance that your computer registry might be corrupted. You can simply use a pc cleanup software and have your PC running like new again in no time.

The Best Way To Fix Your Windows Registry Problem

Is Your Computer Ready For A Windows Registry Cleanup?

If you're not a tech guru, then the chances are you might not even know what a windows Registry is! Let's clear that up before we go any further. Your Windows Registry is a database within Windows that stores details about your computer's hardware, drivers, programs, options, applications, preferences, and much more, without which your computer can't work.

Seems quite important doesn't it? Well, yes it is important. In fact you can see that it's vital to the smooth running of your PC.

Why Do We Need a Registry Cleanup?

A Registry, like any other database, may become filled with a surprising amount of clutter if not properly managed. Over time, this clutter can cause undesirable side effects on your computer. Like slowness, blue screen errors, programs no longer working, crashes... and more.

Here's how it works. Every time you install an application or program onto your PC, the program's configurations and settings are added to the computers Registry. The same will happen when you decide to uninstall applications from your computer. The uninstall process should remove not only the program files, but it should also 'undo' all the changes it made to the Registry.

In many instances, the end result falls rather short of this simple process. And what happens is that your Registry ends up being filled with all manner of entries from programs and such that were deleted some time ago. This is known simply a 'clutter'.

The Registry can also become corrupted if you don't properly remove or uninstall programs and applications from your computer. Most people think that deleting the program files will do the trick. This is totally wrong, and doing it like this will leave the applications' configurations details in the Registry. So many people remove programs like this. We see it all the time. So, we can say for sure that a PC user can also contribute significantly to corruption of the Registry.

Also a virus or spyware that invades your computer will, in many cases, try to corrupt your Windows Registry. This is why you really should have a Virus Scanner permanently running on your PC. Get one that detects and removes viruses, malware and spyware.

Consequences of a Corrupt Registry

A computer whose Registry has become corrupt will begin to slow up. This is because the computer will not be able to easily locate the specific Registry files for a particular application or program. It will have to troll through endless entries, attempting to make sense of many entries that don't actually make sense for the reasons already outlined. One point to note here is that when a computer starts to run slowly, it is a good indication that there is probably something wrong with the Registry.

The Registry actually plays an important part in the boot process of a computer, as the Registry itself is a special type of a bootable file. So it is definitely possible that with time, the registry may become so corrupt that the computer will not be able to boot. In extreme cases, the dreaded Blue Screen of Death is the first you know about it.

How Can You Clean Up Your Registry?

After reading this article, you will certainly understand that it is very important to look after your Registry.

So how do you do that?

There are two methods of doing a Registry clean up. The first way is to do it manually by editing the files yourself. The other way is through the use of a quality Registry Repair and cleanup program.

A word of caution to all those who are thinking about doing this themselves....

Your Registry is absolutely vital to the smooth running of your computer. Even the slightest slip up can damage your registry to the point where the computer becomes unusable (without a reformat perhaps). If you leave out even a single character, - a simple comma for example, - then it may not end well for your PC. So you need to be aware of that.

Instructions on this procedure are available online, but it is definitely not as straight forward as some authors make it out to be.

So, generally I think its best not to risk doing this yourself, as it's just too easy to get it wrong. There's a wide selection of high quality, very reasonably priced Registry repair and cleanup tools available that will do the cleanup for you in no time, without running any kind of risk of damaging your existing Registry files.

All you need do is download one of these tools, and set it scanning. In a couple of minutes it will show you where your errors are. You're prompted to take the appropriate action to fix the errors, and in moments it will be finished and your registry will be as good as new. All the sensible stuff like setting a restore point and backing up the existing registry beforehand are all taken care of either manually or automatically depending on the product you get.

This procedure is a really good idea for anyone who uses a PC. And you don't have to wait until you have a problem before you get the tools and check your Registry. It's a great idea to get the Registry Repair tool anyway, and just run it from time to time to keep your Registry and PC nice and healthy. Your PC will reward you by running as fast and as smoothly as it did the day you bought it!

Hi,

it's Paulus Van Henderson here from... http://www.windowsregistryrepaircenter.com

Is your PC getting slower and slower, taking forever to boot in the morning, and generally running like and old dog? You feel like you want to boot it out the window, - right?

In just minutes, it could be running as smooth and as fast as it did the day you brought it home. If you haven't scanned your Windows registry recently - or ever! - then you absolutely, definitely, will have hundreds, possibly thousands, of errors in your Registry alone. Just waiting to create havoc when it's least convenient.

Registry cleaners are designed to work hard and work fast to remove harmful data from your system.

However, many of the registry cleaners on the market today promise to scan, search and repair your computer. Some even claim they will do it for free. When you download the program and run the scan it can take ages sometimes hours to go through all of your computers files.

It claims to have found corrupted files.

Apparently HUNDREDS of them which it could have mistaken for important downloads that you want to keep.

Well, if your lucky, your computer accepts the full version but when you run the program it doesn't correct half of the problems and your computer runs even slower than before because of the massive file you have just downloaded!

All signs of a totally inferior product.

I was totally cheesed off with my computer that moved at a Snail's pace.

It was slow to start-up. When it did eventually start-up it was slow to respond to commands. It found it difficult to run more than one program at a time. It would jump from one program to another without me doing anything and it was slow to shut down.
Sound familiar?

My son Adam suggested that it was probably due to the amount of junk that I download. Files could be corrupted or, even worse, I may have, inadvertently, downloaded a Virus!

I got to work on the Search Engines and looked for "Speed up my slow pc".

Below is a snippet of my review.

I have found 1-Click-Fix and it is the real Deal.
It does what it says on the Tin.
It doesn't matter if your system is a year old or a veteran six year old system. The PC registry fix knows how to troubleshoot any machine and each unique problem. The process is Easy, Affordable and Lightning-fast, getting your computer as good as new before You have time to drink a cup of Tea.

I downloaded the Free scan and within minutes it had trawled through all data on my computer.

It has a fail safe. It won't delete any files you may want to keep without, first, asking your permission.

It's true. You will have to purchase the product to fix your computers problems but it's well worth it. With just One click of my mouse on the "Fix" button it got straight to work scanning and repairing all of the corrupt registry files and programs.

Result: A pc that works effortlessly. No more delays when I press a command or jumping to some other unwanted program. The computer is quicker and smarter. The Internet seems a lot faster too. Just like when I first got it.

I don't believe there's another product on the market that can fix windows with such speed and accuracy as 1-Click-Fix. The best part about the program is that its easy to use and anybody can take care of their sick computer with just one click.

Seriously, if your computer is slow to respond to commands, taking ages to start-up or shut down or jumping from one thing to another.

What's The Best Registry Clean Up Program

The Registry is a very special database within your Windows based computer. When you install or remove programs, or drivers for hardware items, preferences in Windows and other programs, and when you do a variety of other things, this database gets updated. In other words, it's a sort of constantly updated database that keeps a record of exactly what software and hardware is installed on the PC. Normally it works extremely well, but sometimes it can get errors. When it does, you're going to need a special clean up program.

How Do Problems Start?

When you think about all that this special database is supposed to keep track of, it's no wonder it can wander off track a little from time to time. Consider, each time you load up or uninstall a program, add a password to something, change a password to something, change a feature in Windows or any installed program, add a driver, remove some hardware, even visit a website - entries to the Registry are either added, removed or modified. As time goes on, more and more entries are added, and the Registry can become huge.

Problems can start when things don't quite go as planned. For example, when you decide you no longer want a program, you may decide to remove it from your computer, if only to reclaim the disk space it occupied on your hard drive. Most programs come with a correct 'uninstall' procedure. Typically you'd do something like this. Click on...
START > ALL PROGRAMS > YOUR PROGRAM > OPTIONS

Normally, an option would be to Uninstall 'Your Program'. But often, people don't do this, or it doesn't work properly. So they complete the task by going to the Program Files folder, and deleting the Your Program folder from there. This does delete pretty much all the program files for that program, but it doesn't undo all the changes that were made to the Registry when Your Program was originally installed.

When you boot your PC in circumstances like this, your Registry, being a boot file, will still contain settings and preferences for that program. Except that the files don't exist anymore. From this, you can easily see how the computer could end up being confused for a while during this stage of it's boot-up.

This is how your registry can become corrupted. And over months and years, it can become an absolute minefield of references to software, drivers, settings and preferences, unnecessary files and obsolete applications that are no longer on the computer. So much so that it may just slow the computer down a whole lot as it tries to make sense of all these obsolete instructions. Or if things are really bad, it may just go straight to the blue screen of death. When it does this, your computer is, if not dead, then usually unusable. And a good clean up program is the fall back guy!

Can My PC Be Repaired?

The short answer is - probably. But the best way by far is really to try to prevent these problems in the first place. Get a tried and trusted Registry clean up program, and run it regularly. For those that feel at home messing about with files and attributes and stuff, it can be done manually. But be aware that even one little slip can leave the computer unusable, possibly for good.

Better by far to rely on a program to do it for you. They don't cost a lot of money for what you get. Especially when you consider the alternative - yikes!

So my advice would be to bite the bullet, and spend the few measly bucks to get a reliable repair and cleaner program. And then use it on a regular basis to optimize and clean your computer as you go along!

What Actually Are Registry Clean Up Programs?

Well, quite simply, they are excellent little programs that scan your Registry and system specifically to look for things that shouldn't be there. This means all the unwanted references to programs, drivers, preferences and settings that we no longer need. With your Registry database reduced to a bare uncluttered minimum, your computer's operating system finds it much easier to access this database for the information it needs and expects to see there. An optimized database will greatly help in ensuring your PC operates at the speed it did when it was new. In fact, this is such an important part of your computer's 'heart' that it really can't be overstated in it's importance.

Put simply, with an optimized Registry, your PC will work faster, smoother and more efficiently than ever before.

Clearly, for a task as important as this, you want the best repair and cleaner product available.

What Features Should I Look For?

A lot of the features you'll need are supposed to be common to all products, while others aren't necessarily.

Here are some of the features you should look for...
Backup & Restore: A good cleaner program will automatically create a 'Restore Point' prior to taking any action at all. This means that if something should go wrong, you can set you computer back to how it was before you started. You'll also want it to be able to do a backup of the Registry for the same reason

Auto or Manual Repair: A good product will allow the user to go through the routine manually if they wish, or on auto too if desired. The manual path usually comes with a degree of guidance so that you can make informed choices along the way. On auto, clearly it will be happy to do a great job without your help.

Registry Entry Concerns: Good software should be capable of checking and fixing invalid paths, empty or invalid keys, orphaned references, spyware, corrupt files and remnants of uninstalled software, as well as several other types of possible harmful content.

Remove Invalid Shell Extensions and Class Keys: Your program will need to hunt down and remove invalid shell extensions and non-functioning class keys that are a major factor in causing a noticeable slowing of your computer.

Delete Program Shortcuts: It must be able to detect and eliminate incorrect program shortcuts that can easily cause applications to take longer to launch.

A Built-In Scheduler: It should be able to be programmed to perform a scan of the Registry as desired. Weekly, monthly or whenever the system starts up. It's your choice.

Organize Windows Startup Items: A great feature is for it to be able to locate and delete obsolete startup programs that get launched each time your computer is turned on. Unchecked, they then continue running in the background, using up valuable CPU and memory resources, resulting in a dramatic loss of speed and performance. The best programs will detect these and remove them, giving you back that lost speed and performance.

Can I See How Far it is Into The Scan?

An Interface That Shows Scan Progress: The good programs incorporate an easily visible progress bar so that you can easily see how long there is to go.

How To Increase The Speed Of Your PC or Laptop

The following are some steps and tips you can use to speed up your pc.

Cleaning up your hard disk from unwanted and infected files is essential. Over time your hard disk gathers unwanted data and files that can cause performance problems over time if you don't pay attention to this. Moreover, the trojans and infected spyware files that sometimes get downloaded into your pc via internet can go unnoticed unless you have a working antivirus working in the background to help protect your pc from damage.

The accumulation of these unwanted applications, files and viruses can really destroy your computer's performance and can really slow down the whole process. Your computer can suffer from slow loading times and slow response during file or application opening. So, it's best that you secure a good antivirus program that can clean up any viruses by a thorough scan of the hard disk, memory and any other storage system drives.

You should also delete those files that can be removed. The use of an effective antivirus program and utilities program to remove such files from your pc would make the process a time saver. Scanning your pc with these programs can really fix errors and ultimately tune up your pc's response time and run in the background and not interfere with your computing. Similarly, uninstalling all the applications especially games that you don't use or play can really speed up your pc by reducing the stress on the hard disk.

Moreover, try adjusting your background image and your windows theme as well. For better performance, you should use simple themes because some themes can really slow down your pc causing it to load slowly and slow down the response times of other programs running. So, carefully adjust your pc's themes and visuals for better optimized speed.

Furthermore, you should not allow the computer to automatically load unwanted and unused programs after every startup because these programs could use up a lot of memory or ram to run. Try to auto-load only those applications that you think are vital for your system's daily use.

You should try to free up space on your hard disk by deleting these unused applications. If you really need those files and programs and your hard disk has space nearly equal to twenty percent, then you should run a disk defrag process on your hard disk. It really does a great job of reallocating the files into an organized fashion that gives overall better performance. Disk defrag is essential at least once a month or quarter to gain good drive performance and speed.

Apart from the above mentioned tips, there are tons of other methods which you can apply to speed up your pc. These include regular disk cleanups, anti-spyware scan, and the deletion of hidden junk files etc. More importantly, it is always better to upgrade your hardware and accessories for better speed and performance which will be a really noticeable benefit to you.

CCleaner Cleans Up All Those Messy Files

Ccleaner, developed by Piriform, is just a simple little program that does one thing, it cleans up all those messy files and little pieces of files that are left when you install a new program or uninstall one.

Since its introduction about 30 years ago, DOS has had this funny little habit of letting you install whatever you want when you needed it, if you had "administrative privileges." This simply meant and still means that you run or allowed to run a computer with "full privileges." "Full" or "administrative" privileges mean you can do anything you want to the computer such as install or uninstall the software or hardware and drivers that leave all the little file pieces and files that have to be cleaned up before you computer can run quickly and cleanly.

All you need is a simple little program such as Ccleaner, a few minutes of time and the matter is completed. As they old saying goes "it's not rocket science," although it is about the science of cleaning up after oneself. Why DOS, and later Windows, was developed with this inconvenient little problem is beyond the scope of this article. What is germane though is that Piriform's Ccleaner is worth it's weight in disk space.

It takes next to nothing to install and when you've finished you have a computer that is speedy and from which all those unneeded files and little pieces of file have been deleted.

Ccleaner is quick to install as it has a very simple interface that indicates exactly what the program is doing at any time. Once you've installed it, the program is easy to use.

It cleans up anything that's left - you probably have experienced programs that leave annoying cookies or files on your hard drive - and makes it disappear. The truth is that once Ccleaner has taken the program and flattened it, the files are gone forever, so you do have to be a bit careful about what you are taking off.

They tell you this in the instructions so if you go a little overboard and yank all of the unwanted programs off your computer you may find that you have programs that won't start or won't do anything if they do start.

You can't say, though, they haven't given you fair warning. Ccleaner is a good software and may be helpful as it really does what it advertises to do and no more.

What a Complete Registry Repair Will Do for Your Computer

There are many aspects to a home computer that owners might not be completely aware of. This is understandable as the average computer owner is not a programmer. However, it is important to learn as much as possible about proper care and repair of a computer in order to avoid the many potential hazards that might occur as a result of problems within the registry. The is why it would be helpful to run a complete registry repair.

What are some of the benefits of engaging in a complete registry repair?
There are scores upon scores of benefits and the most important one would be that the integrity of the operation of the system will be maintained. In other words, when you run a Windows XP repair, you will be correcting various flaws and problems within the registry. It is these flaws that will undermine the way the computer operates as well as place it at risk for even more serious problems.

For example, when there are errors in the registry, a computer will generally run much slower than it normally would if the registry problems did not exist. When you have important business or personal needs for your computer, slow operations certainly can prove annoying. Then, there is the even more difficult issue of computer freezes. This is when a computer not only slows down, it stops. This leads to rebooting the computer and anything you have not saved ends up being lost.

But, is that really a big deal?
Well, if you spent an hour writing a major business proposal or you college term paper and a computer freeze led to the loss of the info, you would probably consider the situation a disaster scenario. Additionally, a frozen computer may necessitate a hard reboot. In some instances, such a rebooting method can actually cause even more problems for a PC since it can lead to further registry errors and operating system damage. This may then create the next nightmare scenario: a complete system crash.

When the system crashes, you might discover ALL of your files lost and destroyed. At this point, it would be too late to run a complete registry repair. The damage will have already occurred and it will have been extensive. And, unless you have made proper backup files, your files will not be recoverable. Once again, this is why running a complete registry repair is so important. It prevents such disasters from occurring or, at the very least, minimizes their impact. And, best of all, the operation of a complete registry repair is very simple.

All the computer owner needs to do is install the program via disk and then run it. Many programs can be set with a timer to run on their own. The timing of the program can be performed immediately after installation and all repair issues can be handled in advance. And, of course, the programs can be manually run on an as needed basis as well. This will ensure the integrity of the computer is maintained and the registry is always clean.

Advanced SystemCare Registry Repair And Cleaner

If you are like many people, you have shut down your laptop or desktop one day only to power up the next and find that the programs you depend on have slowed to a crawl as the famous timer just sits there spinning; what has happened is that a registry issue has occurred or possibly something worse, like malware.

Trust us when we say, you will be happy with the results. It is pretty straightforward to run, just start it up and it runs through your system doing a complete scan for malware, trojans and viruses and picking them up. It then runs a second pass aimed at broken registry entries and the next pass is aimed at broken shortcuts. The final passes are aimed at cleaning up old files and relics that have been left by other programs.

When you are finished, it is like you are running a new machine.

Usually programs like this are offered for 30 day free use trials and they will always tell you they find a huge number of issues but because of the limits on the trial program, it will only clean up the first 15 or 20 issues. AdvancedSystem does lots more than that, it take care of your system for you.

At one time, before the Internet became the Web, and WiFi became commonplace, there were lots of freeware and shareware writers who thought very little of sharing their successes with others. However as the Internet has grown into the Web it has become everyone seems to be trying to make a some money off of it, so it is nice when a program like AdvancedSystem Care 5 comes along that lets you download a free copy that actually works and does something.

By the way, before the program begins its work, it sets a restore point, something many programs do not do, so that you can put your system back into the shape it was before you ran AdvancedSystem Care. We highly doubt you will be doing much of that, but it is nice to know the set point is there for you.

What Is 0x80070570 and How Can It Be Fixed?

There are a few errors that one comes across while using a computer and fixing them at an early stage is always better than to linger them on. Such errors if not taken care of early might cause greater harm to the computer not only at the at the software level but also to the hardware of the computer. One of the most common errors faced by the users of the Windows operating system at some time or the other is the error coded: 0x80070570. This error occurs mainly while upgrading the system from one version of the Windows operating system, say Windows Vista to a higher version like Windows 7.

What is error code: 0x80070570?

Error messages are set along with the error codes mainly to give the user an idea about what possibly might have caused the error. The error code: 0x80070570 also gives a message that mainly says that the file or the directory is either corrupted or otherwise unreadable. This error occurs basically when Windows takes its updates automatically or is taken manually by the user from Microsoft. The computer returns a message to the user that the required files for the completion of the installation are not found. They might either be corrupted or might be missing and hence the user needs to make sure that all the files required for installation are available before restarting the process of installation once again. This error might eventually land your computer into various other problems like freezing, gadget inefficiency, hardware failures and abnormally slowing down of your machine activity.

What might be the possible causes of the error?

There might be many possible reasons for getting the error 0x80070570 on a Windows based system apart from the one mentioned above. But as the message itself reads, the main reason is that the application is unable to find the required files for the completion of the process of up gradation. This might be caused due to some errors in registry settings or otherwise the registry being corrupted due to the missing of some files from it. The error might also occur due to the presence of virus or malware in the computer. Computers that are not updated on a regular basis are also prone to this error.

How to tackle the error?

There are many ways of tackling this error. The most common solution to deal with this error is the cleaning of the registry. Cleaning of the registry can be done manually as well as with the help of software. There are a number of soft wares available in the market that does clean the registry on execution. Manual cleaning of the registry can be a bit risky as it contains many important files which on deletion can cause major damage to the system. Hence it is always better not to touch the registry without proper knowledge. Cleaning of the registry usually solves this error and the up gradation completes successfully. Windows systems always need a good and effective anti-virus program to protect it from viruses and worms. These anti-virus programs should be updated regularly in order to provide maximum level of security to the systems. After all these jobs are done and precautions are taken, the system can be successfully upgraded to a newer and higher version of Windows without the occurrence of any error.

As Social Networks Move Into the Human Brain It Could Cause the Decrease of White Matter

In the future, not more than perhaps three decades from now your social online interaction will not be on a computer screen, rather it will involve an interface, perhaps an embedded chip in your brain. You and your friends can "thought swap" to send messages, not text messages but full on visuals, and since a picture is worth 1000 words, you will be able to communicate so fast your head will spin. Of course, some hacker will come along, or the government will want to make sure you are only thinking proper thoughts. Okay so let's talk about this for second shall we?

No, I'm not trying to scare you into some type of future scenario, or science fiction horror thriller, I'm just telling you what the capabilities of the technology will be in the future. Thus, perhaps we should talk a little bit about privacy laws in the future concept that your thoughts will be monitored, so be careful what you're thinking. There is an interesting book you should read titled; "Privacy" by Garrett Keizer which talks about the state of the current technology, big data, big marketers, and government snooping all the name of homeland security. It's well worth a read, and therefore I recommend it.

Now then, if you have a chip in your brain, you'll have to learn how to hide certain thoughts, but if you have too much white matter, or you are bipolar and the two hemispheres of your brain are constantly communicating, you will not be able to hide those thoughts at all, or keep them to yourself. Therefore those that can keep their thoughts to themselves, or hide those thoughts within their brain, perhaps they have some sort of brain disorder or the right enzyme ratios leading to the proper gene expression, well, they'll have the advantage.

With this advantage will come greater social mobility, greater wealth, and perhaps along the same line as the famous Dr. Hare's research on psychopaths. Because these individuals will have the advantage, they are likely to spur on more offspring, or create more clones of themselves, therefore there will be an overall decrease in the white matter of the most successful people. Of course, I'm just taking this out and playing it into the future considering some of the potential possibilities - who knows how the future will actually unfold, but realize I also dabble in science fiction writing.

Nevertheless, evolution always favors the gene expressions with the advantage so, in this case being able to hide thoughts from the implanted chip will become invaluable to maintaining privacy. Those that can maintain their privacy will definitely have the advantage. We are already seeing that today. Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on it.

About the Browser Redirect Virus and Its Removal

The Browser Redirect Virus is one of the most common virus found on the internet today. It has infected millions of computers globally. This horrible little virus infiltrates your Windows settings and redirects your search results in Google, Yahoo and Bing. It is imperative that you remove this menace as quickly as possible before it has a chance to introduce your computer to any further malicious code. Permanent removal of the browser virus is the only way to guarantee your computers security.

Standard antivirus programs are not designed to look in the right places to locate the browser virus. The reformatting of your main hard drive as well as the other hard drives connected to your system will not produce permanent results. Removal is best achieved by a program specifically designed to find and remove the virus. Your standard anti-virus and security software has little chance of locating and removing the virus. An approach using specific techniques and tools is best to permanently remove the redirect virus.

The browser virus has a sophisticated design. Although the virus is complex, its goals are simple and direct. Or to "redirect" in this case. As you use Google, Yahoo or Bing to search topics, your results might look fine, but when you click on the link you are redirected to an unrelated site. Often the sole intention is to redirect you to ad pages for products and services the hackers want you to buy. Unfortunately there is often a more sinister motive. Often you are redirected to sites that contain malicious code with the intent of installing spyware onto your computer. This is very serious and the very security of your personal information is then at risk.

You might be wondering how did I get this virus. Well, in most cases it is introduced to your PC through email as an attachment, sometimes via an infected plugin or download. Because the virus disguises its self as a file that should be on your computer, it can be very difficult to remove and linger for a long time.

The permanent removal of this virus is crucial to your computer and can only be achieved using the correct tool and technique. The redirect virus effects several components of your computer. Be very cautious if you are planning to remove the virus yourself. You should have a strong working knowledge of your computer system if you plan to go the DIY route. There is no lack of free information available on the web from self proclaiming experts telling you how to remove the redirect virus. I have looked through many of these and there are always steps and components missing from the solution. Without a guarantee or support, you are left out in the cold if something goes wrong. If you are familiar at all with computers you know things go wrong all the time.

I would like to recommend a program that has a 100% Guarantee of success or your money back. The Fix Redirect Virus program was designed specifically to find and remove the browser virus permanently Guaranteed. The program was designed by an experienced computer technician who also was effected by the browser virus. He was very motivated to find a working solution to this huge problem and has done so. 100% Guaranteed!

Spotting a Dodgy Email - 5 Tips

We have all seen the emails that claim we are due a reward or gift voucher or there is a problem with some account we have. Most encourage you to click a link and enter some details and while a lot of us are aware of these types of scams a lot more are not.

First a few examples of the types of emails we are talking about:

"Your PayPal account has been suspended"

"You have won a $100 voucher to Walmart"

"You are approved for xxx visa card"

"Winning lottery notification"

"DHL failed to deliver"

"You won a cruise"

Disaster relief scam emails

Email verification emails from sites you have not signed up to

These are just some examples and we all will have one of these emails in our inbox right now or within the next 24 hours. These types of emails are generally designed to do one of 3 things.

1. Get your personal information for identity theft, resale

2. Gain access to accounts you may have

3. Install malicious software

4. Con you to fleece you of your hard earned money

Now when you are looking at scam emails your best defence is common sense but here are a few tips to help you not become one of the thousands scammed by such emails.

1. Common sense wins every time

As we mentioned common sense is your number one defence against these emails. Your bank, PayPal and other financial services will NEVER ask you for things like passwords, card details and other very personal details via email. Any emails or forms that you are redirected to asking for passwords should set alarm bells ringing. There are some that even bold enough to ask for your pin number!

2. Looking for spelling and grammar errors

Although these scam emails are getting better and better they do tend to lack in the spelling and grammar areas. I have seen emails that look very legitimate with logos and such and it is not until you read the email that it becomes very obvious that this email is not from your bank or some other such site.

3. Check the link

This is probably the biggest giveaway and the one people do not know about. For example I saw a scam email the other day that appeared to be from Walmart claiming someone had won $1000 in a raffle and that they needed to click the link and enter details to claim.

The link was something like "http://www.Walmart.com.xyz.biz". To most people this looks fine it looks like it is going to Walmart's website but the problem is that it is not. The Walmart part is a sub domain of the site xyz.com and has nothing to do with Walmart.

Upon clicking the link you are taken to a well done copy of Walmart's website where you enter your details and send these scammers your information to be used for whatever reason but again the website is not it is part of xyz.biz and is just designed to trick you into thinking the site is legitimate.

This happens on many email scams I have received and it is always worth just hovering over the link they want you to click just to see where it takes you (but don't click) If you are still unsure go directly to the company's website rather than via the link and login to your account that way. NEVER login to an account via a suspicious email.

4. The opening line or subject

Things like "You have won" or verify your bank account" are usually giveaways and are 99.9% of the time scams. Messages that start with things like dear friend or hello friend are usually good indicators that a lot of rubbish is about to follow.

5. Attachments

If you receive and email from someone you don't know that contains an attachment your finger should be hovering over the delete message button. These types of messages usually contain attachments that are either viruses or forms used to phish your personal information.

My Antivirus and Security Software Won't Get Rid of the Redirect Virus

"My Antivirus and Security software won't get rid of the Browser Redirect Virus!"

This is a statement we have all read time and time again in countless comments and on support forums. You have spent good money on software to protect your computer from malware and viruses yet you still fall victim to the redirect virus. What Gives?

It's not your fault!

Unfortunately the redirect virus was designed to evade the very security measures you were probably advised to take. The hijack virus is a very advanced mini application whose attacks are multi-tiered. It is activated with no help from other applications. It then makes its changes to your computers Windows settings and register files and then disguises itself as a file that should be present on your computer. Not only does it disguise itself, it hides where your anti-virus program won't even look. The only way to be 100% sure you have removed the browser redirect virus is to use a program specifically designed to deal with it.

Often times the hijack virus will send you to websites where malware exists. You will then have spyware or other hideous malware installed on your computer. Your antivirus software may detect this malicious code and remove it. Unfortunately the root redirect virus still remains hidden and undetected on your computer. In a matter of time the browser virus will become active again and start the process of redirecting you to unwanted ad sites and malicious code sites all over again. The permanent removal of this virus must be obtained to stop this cycle. This is only obtained through a multi pronged approach.

Fortunately for us there is a program available to remove this menacing virus permanently. This solution was designed by a veteran computer technician whose computer was infected with the browser virus. He has created a program with a multi prong approach to removing the virus. This is the only way to be sure you have permanently removed this browser hijacker. His program not only permanently removes the Google redirect virus, it guarantees it 100%,or your money back. You won't get that guarantee or any guarantee from one of these internet "Gurus" claiming to have all the answers.

Take it from a guy who tried to save money and followed a few of these unqualified "Gurus" down a deadend street. I saved neither time nor money. I ended up right where I stared minus a lot of personal time and a great deal of hair.

For more information about the Browser Redirect Virus and how to remove it permanently, go to my website http://redirectvirus.co (A Cautionary tale of how I removed the redirect virus permanently). Please learn from my mistakes and be done with this virus once and for all.

The Most Notorious Computer Viruses

Thinking of throwing away your laptop because of a malfunction of some sort? Has a laptop part suddenly stopped functioning properly? Is a program which used to run great suddenly going haywire?

Before you chalk it up to hardware fault like damaged laptop components, you have to first make sure that it isn't just a virus attack of some sort. While just as harrowing as a laptop part malfunction, viruses can be easily taken care of with a competent antivirus program.

Of course, not all viruses are created equal; and while the viruses depicted below have long since had countermeasures developed for them, at the time of their infestations, they were notorious little buggers.

Here are the five worst of the lot.

1. Melissa

In 1999, a computer virus began spreading like wildfire via email messages. Called "Melissa," creator David L. Smith said he named it after a Florida exotic dancer. And in the same way that a dancer can allure you with a striptease, the Melissa virus tempted people to open these emails with the message "Here is that document that you asked for, don't show it to anybody else." Once opened, the virus then replicates itself by going after the top fifty people in the recipient's address book.

2. I Love You

A year later, another heavy-hitter emerged, this time from the Philippines. Among other things, it could copy itself several times and hide the replicants in various separate folders; add new files to registry keys; replace several important system files with copies of itself; and download a file called WIN-BUGSFIX.EXE (a password-stealing program) and run it.

3. Klez

In 2001, a year after I Love You hit, a far more sinister one came out of the woodwork. Klez, when activated, multiplied itself through a victim's email list much like Melissa, and rendered desktop and laptop parts themselves to be inoperable. Before it was totally eradicated, its creators even fine-tuned it so that it would be intelligent enough to copy the email address it was coming from.

4. Code Red and Code Red II

Also in the same year as Klez, the Code Red and Code Red II viruses appeared. These viruses exploited a weakness in the programming of the Windows 2000 and Windows NT operating systems. The weakness in question was the OSes' buffer overflow problem. This problem occurs when a computer receives more information than the system's buffers can process and starts to overwrite adjacent memory.

The first Code Red infamously attacked web servers at the White House by implementing a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack. This attack caused every infected computer to contact the White House's servers, thereby overloading them.

Meanwhile, Code Red II-infected computers were no longer operable by their owners because the virus created a backdoor program in their computers' systems, allowing a remote user to gain control of their machines.

5. Nimda

Still in 2001, a virus named Nimda (that's "admin" spelled backwards) spread throughout the internet. Nimda was notorious for being the fastest-spreading virus then, taking only 22 minutes to get from initial release to the top list of reported attacks.

Despite being able to infect home PCs just as well, its main target was internet servers, with the intention of slowing these down significantly. It travelled through the internet employing various methods, not the least of which was email propagation. This adeptness was what allowed it to multiply itself across thousands of servers in record time.

Registry Cleaners and Fixes

Computers have really changed the world these past decades. They started out as huge complicated machines that help us process calculations. Now, they still are complicated machines that still aid in calculations but now offer lots of capabilities. The size of computers has also drastically decreased. Since the computers of today have overwhelming processing capability, it is sometimes unavoidable for it to encounter errors. It helps to have the best Windows XP registry cleaner on hand for situations like this.

Currently, Windows XP is the most widely used operating system. Business process outsourcing companies and call centers are known to use this operating system because of VoIP issues surrounding the newer operating systems. People who own single core and low RAM desktops and laptops also prefer this OS because it is lightweight. Only those who have tons of RAM and at least dual cores can safely run Windows 7 with no problem. Due to these, it really pays to have the best Windows XP registry cleaner especially if you are a computer technician.

The registry is actually a collection of information, also called a database, that houses all the hardware and software configurations. Having this on your operating system is a big plus because it saves several milliseconds of processing. For computers, milliseconds really count.

There are many things that a program should do if you are to consider it the best Windows XP registry cleaner. The following are only some of the important functions of a good registry cleaner. Take note that every program has its specialization but the good ones will offer part of everything.

The basic function of the program is to repair problems in the registry which concern useless, malfunctioning or duplicate entries. These can be categorized into either help incorrect help files, incorrect application paths, missing shared DLLs, obsolete software and many more. These things are hardly damaging to the computer but they will contribute to lag if left alone.

Another scenario that warrants a registry fix is when hardware problems arise. An example is when you have inserted a DVD in your drive and it is not read. If the disk ran successfully on another computer and you are sure that drivers are installed, there may be a registry problem. A common error with hardware is invalid path assignment.

The Evolution and Expansion of Computer Virus Threats

Virus software is unauthorized software which is designed to replicate itself on a computer without the owner's knowledge or approval. From the original virus threats which would erase a hard drive or slow the computer to a crawl, new virus threats have developed over the past decade and more. The major additional new threats have been characterized as spyware and malware.

What are the distinctions made by software security professionals between spyware and malware?

Spyware is designed to quietly run on a computer and gather data. The spyware software silently monitors and records user input and network traffic. Eventually the spyware sends this personal information from the infected computer to another computer where the data may be used for monetary advantage. This advantage does not usually mean the fraudulent use of credit card information. The monetary advantage could mean providing records of sites visited to companies wishing to make targeted sales. Or it could mean providing email address book data to scammers looking to distribute scam email in hopes of obtaining bank account or credit card information.

Malware is a more generic term than spyware. Malware refers to any malicious software which has installed itself in an underhanded or deceptive way. There are five main categories which are often included under the heading of malware: adware programs, spyware programs, hijacking programs, toolbars and dialer programs.

An adware program causes pop-ups which display an ad on your computer screen. These pop-ups may occur when you click on a link in your internet browser or they may occur when you open and run a program. There are legitimate adware pop-ups provided as helpful short cuts on some business web pages. The malicious adware pop-ups mimic the legitimate ones in order to deceive the user.

We have already described spyware programs above.

A hijacking program generally uses Internet Explorer and redirects your web connection to sites which you had not intended to visit.

A malware toolbar emulates Google or Yahoo toolbars and like them it offers additional functionality. But the malware toolbars function in order to gather data or redirect web searches or display pop-ups ads.

The final category is the dialer program which generates an automatic dial out over modem connection to a 1-900 toll charge number.

To meet the evolving threats from spyware and malware, security software has been developed by operating system developers and by anti-virus software companies. The new threats constantly call for new counter-measures in this ongoing battle for user security in the networked computer environment.

Why It Is Important To Ensure Your Business Website Is Mobile Compatible

As technology continues to advance, more and more people are checking their email and browsing the internet using mobile devices. A late 2011 study revealed that of all the browsing activity that takes globally, 7.1% takes place on a mobile device (smart phones and tablets).

Though this number may seem small, it is actually a 1000% increase in mobile device use based on a similar 2009 study! Therefore it is clear that users are adapting to smart phones and tablet devices, utilizing their functionality to access the internet wherever, rather than waiting to go home.

Mobile device users whom are away from home will continue to use their smart phone or tablets to access websites in the future. Perhaps almost exclusively while they are away from home. There no longer is a limit to simply check email while on the road. Users will shop, read reviews, use mobile applications, play online games, and research products / brands and services before they commit to buy.

Considering a great deal of websites were developed prior to the Mobile Device age. It is likely that portions of a website are distorted or even unusable when viewed on a mobile device.

For these reasons, it is important to consider testing and making changes to your website. Why lose business or recognition from a customer because your site is not accessible to them when they need it.

Businesses that sell products or transact commerce online, need to pay attention to the mobile market. It is not uncommon for mobile device users to search online for sales and better costs for products. Odds are, whom-ever has the better deal will get the sale. If a customer visits your site and that of your competitor, and only one of you offers the ability to buy-online and buy-online through a mobile device... guess who will get the sale!?

Likewise there always exists the possibility that a mobile device user will visit a website, see a higher price and be willing to pay it because it is easier then shopping around.

Mobile websites offer convenience while also being easy to navigate and use. They should be clear and concise in design and layout. They should not be cluttered. They are not full of images.

A well designed mobile website will render quickly and show only what is pertinent to the user. Most mobile sites will have a Contact Us section, sometimes a direct dial button and normally an About Us section. Everything else beyond that is dependent on the site and it's intended use.

Udetails.com is an internet company with the technical skill and experience to help grow your business. Our Web / Mobile Development group will timely optimize any website for mobile use and/or create any mobile application needed to satisfy customer demand and use. Avoid direct sunlight. You can ruin your phone by leaving it exposed to the sun for long durations. The internal components can be damaged from direct sunlight.

Screenshots are a wonderful benefit to the iPhone. When you're on the screen you want to save, hold down the home button and then tap on the sleep button. Once the screen turns white, you will know the screenshot is saved on your phone.

There is a way to scroll your contacts that does not involve finger flicking. Hold down your fingertip on the list of contacts. Then, simply slide down and up. This is an easy and controlled way to look through all of your contacts.

Use the button on your headphone cord to snap a picture with your iPhone. Begin by framing the picture you want to capture. When you are ready, press the button that is on the cord. This will take the photo. To save it, follow the steps you would usually follow when saving a picture.

If you're suffering from that dreaded frozen iPhone screen, then simply press the home button down for 5 seconds. That should reset your phone. If this doesn't work, try holding both the Home and Power buttons simultaneously for at least 12 seconds. You should only use the second tip in the event the first one is unsuccessful.

Don't let your iPhone waste your time with word suggestions. You can tap the screen if you don't want it to suggest anything to you. This way, you don't have to tap the x key after every single word.

How Mobile Apps Can Make Your Business Run Better

Mobile apps for business are one of the most important innovations of the recent past. Mobile apps and smartphones together have created a shift on how data is accessed and shared at workplace. Already many businesses have included smartphones in their list of critical productivity tools. According to recent study by Forrester, around 13% of information workers are using smartphones for work at least once a week. From e-mail to collaboration, there are many types of mobile apps for professionals that enable them to do the most sophisticated tasks more easily.

Development options
With the increased need for apps has come a boom in the mobile app development industry. There are more options for building than ever before. Those options fall into two different categories - off-the-shelf development and custom development.

• Custom-development: In this case, a company pays a development shop or hires an in-house team to create customized apps for its own business. This is often the best option for companies that are building mission-critical pure native apps. However, this process of development is expensive. Hence, most businesses, especially the small ones, cannot afford them.

• Off-the-shelf development: If you do not have the resources or budget to build a custom app in-house or with a development shop, you may be able to purchase, at a much lower cost, off-the-shelf apps. You can use them for everything - from email and scheduling to data collection to CRM.

Common mobile apps in enterprise workplace
The following are a few of the most commonly used mobile apps for the enterprise workplace.

• E-mail apps are one of the most basic and commonly used apps in business mobile devices. They enable e-mail usage on smartphones and tablets. A Forrester survey reports that 92% of information workers have an e-mail app on their smartphone.

• Schedule planner apps have a calendar that can record and remind users of important events, meetings, etc. According to Forrester survey, around 80% of information workers have calendar apps.

• Customer relationship management apps manage and share interactions with customers, clients and sales prospects by integrating sales, marketing and customer support information into a single, centralized database and software system.

• Service and support automation apps enable workers in the field to capture real-time service information using mobile phones and tablets and transfer it immediately to back-end systems through wireless connectivity. They also allow you to access this data instantly at any point of time.

• Near field communication apps establish radio communication between two smartphones within a certain range.

• Financial apps can access your financial data like payments, expenses, pending bills, customer accounts from your mobile phone. You can also use these to share or record the financial data whenever required.

• Apps for healthcare industry help in managing product and patient information, prescribing medication, checking drug interactions and even billing using smartphones. These can also be very helpful in epidemic outbreak forecasting and monitoring.

Future of mobile apps in business space
Improvements are still being made to mobile productivity apps. With more and more companies encouraging use of smartphones in their workforce to enhance productivity, there is a lot of potential for development of business mobile apps. Further, with cloud computing technology enabling easy development of mobile business apps, businesses can greatly leverage them for their operations.

Mobility is the trend and apps are quickly overtaking traditional software development. Choosing between off-the-shelf and custom development of apps entirely depends on requirement and budget of the organization. Though a lot of progress is seen in business app development in the recent past, there still remains a large scope for improvement.

Why Anti-Theft Protection Is Necessary For Your Smartphone

The days are gone when phone was just used for voice communication, the time, technology and generation has changed and today most of the peoples are having smartphones in their hands containing smart features like high-resolution digital cameras, internet browsing, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, pictures, videos, social sharing like Facebook, twitter, YouTube and much more.

And this revolution in smartphone industry hasn't came alone, it has brought the threats on your privacy and your important data with it. Your phone not only provides you access to those smart features but also has lots of important data like your phone book contacts, emails, email contacts, messages and also has private information including your personal and family photos.

So now the question is what will you feel when you loss your smartphone or it gets stolen?

Will you really worry about the money you paid for that smart device or will you start worrying about the information lost with that device? Of course the privacy and data security is much more concerned than value of device itself.

In fact, most smartphone users already understand this but not much concerned about it. May be because they are too confident that they will never loss or miss place their phone, anyways what I believe is a single silly mistake can result in loss of valuable private data.

In this smart world, our life has become very fast and we are all working day and nights (mentally if not physically) to live a better life, to make our dreams come true and hence we have become multi tasking machines. Multi tasking means less concentration on each task and that is the only reason people often forgets their smartphones in restaurants, cinemas, offices and billing counters.

Don't worry, the threat is big but the solution is right there in your phone. Of course there is no 100% protection available against smart phone thefts but there are ways you can save your private data from going into the wrong hands. There are many anti-theft software available in smartphone markets (Google play market for android smartphones). You can configure them to erase all your private data including phone-book, SMS and all media files like images and videos stored on external memory card when SIM card is changed or phone is marked as stolen via remote SMS command.

Below is the list of some good and trusted anti theft protection software for android phones. You can install them from Google play market.

Difference Between iPhone iOS and Android

Is there really that much of a difference between iPhone's iOS and Android? This is a question that seems to come up a lot in the iPhone repair business, and it's more than just a simple yes or no. They are both based off of Linux, well Android uses Linux and iPhone's iOS uses Unix.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?
Unix actually came before Linux, but Linux is a clone made from scratch of Unix. So are the operating systems on the phone that different? Yes, and no once again. While they are visually different, you could make a version of iOS user interface that looks like the Android Linux kernal. Unix is used for commercial use, and Linux is open sourced, and is mainly used for servers, but you can turn your iPhone into a mini server. The difference really comes down to the command line. You can give "super user" capabilities in both phones, but how you do it is different.

Now that you know the operating systems of the phones are basically the same, lets move on to physical appearance. The phones operating systems are different in look, and usability. The real difference is in the screen, and the fact that iPhones do not contain widgets. The apps on the iPhone are squares, and cannot be expanded. Android phones allow you to expand the apps into widgets, and stream data on the screen. The android also has Home, Menu, Back, and more buttons on the screen, but the iPhone only has the home button. The iPhone has the capabilities to close apps running in the background, and the android makes you download an app for that. I guess Apple doesn't have an app for that...

All in all they are both great phones. One think that really needs to be noted is, that iPhone screen repair is cheaper than most android screen repairs. iPhone screen repairs start at $120, and seem to be industry standard. Android digitizers are usually much more than $120 dollars just for the part. All of the other parts that are inside the iPhone can be easily replaced by a trained technician. While most android repairs can be handled with ease also, there seems to be a lot more to take apart on most models to repair broken screens.

This is something about the Apple phones that need to be noted as well. The iPhone in general has continued to become "slicker" as new models have come out. Now the iPhone 5 or whatever you want to call it has yet to be released, so the question of,"Will that model match the current Apple product trend?" has yet to be answered. One argument to this statement is that the design for the iPhone 4, and the iPhone 4S has a Gorilla Glass back. Any cell phone with glass on the back is going to be slick, but manufactures have also decided to make colored-mirror-digitizers that allow you to customize your phone in the color of your choice. This is a great advantage to all of those iPhone owners who want to customize their phones. There also seems to be more iPhone accessories than there are Androids, but there is also a simple answer for that too. There are way more Android phones on the market than the 5 generations of the iPhone. This makes it easier for all of the accessory manufacturers to make accessories for the iPhone.

In the end it all comes down to preference, and being an Android user at one time, it was a hard move to the iPhone. Once the facts presented themselves on operating systems, accessories, and functionality the choice to stay with the iPhone was a no brainer.

Best Storage Device for Nintendo DS

Gaming consoles are among the world's highest selling gadgets. The first gaming console came out in the year 1972 and the perhaps the world was never the same. Nintendo is among the worlds leading game console manufacturers. It has been entertaining gamers since 1977. Originally these consoles were not designed for portability. But due the demand of the times portable game consoles came into being. One great example is the Nintendo DS, launched in 2004.

In order to gain portability, the DS had to be designed much lighter than regular consoles. Therefore it has no in built storage device. Therefore in order to save content on the device, external storage devices popularly known as flashcarts or flashcards have to be inserted in the device. There are specific slots in the device for such cards.

There are various types of storage cards, each with unique set of features.

There are different cards for different models of the DS device. Among the most popular cards is the R4 card. This card has been hugely popular among Nintendo DS users. There are different models of R4 cards for different models of the Nintendo DS- the original DS model, the DS Lite model, the DSi model, the DSi XL model and the latest Nintendo 3DS.

The original R4 DS cards are compatible with the original DS and DS Lite models. They will not work with other models such as -Dsi, Dsi XL and 3DS. For the Dsi and DSi XL consoles you have the R4i card. They can be used with the DS and DS Lite, but it is not recommended. For the latest Nintendo 3DS model you have the R4 3DS card. This card can run on all other models of the Nintendo but it is better not use this card with them.

With a good number of R4 cards available on the market now, you need to ask yourself "which one do I need?" All R4 cards look almost the same but their ability to work with particular consoles vary. The most important fact about buying a R4 card is that it cannot work on its own. The R4 card needs a suitable micro SD memory card for use as this is where the operational files are stored for it to function. No version of the R4 card, be it the R4ior anything else, can work without a memory card. The more the storage capacity of memory card, the more data can be stored any time without having to delete previously stored data. For normal users, 2GB memory card is quite sufficient but for the more hard core users a 4GB or 8GB micro SD card is much more suitable.

If you want a preconfigured R4 cards, with the updated software already on the memory card, then you will have to purchase a R4 card together with a memory card as otherwise there will be nothing to insert the software on. If a R4 card is purchased without a memory, you will need to download and apply the latest software for your card.

PES Games - A History Of Pro Evolution Soccer Part 1

Pro Evolution Soccer is a football (soccer) video game with legions of fans around the world. PES games are produced for all major consoles including PS3, XBOX 360, Wii and PC and are distributed across all five continents making it a global powerhouse.

Pro Evolution Soccer games have now been around since 1996 when the uniquely titled Goal Storm started the Konami franchise. Along with the FIFA series from Electronic Arts (EA) the two games have gone head to head and dominated the football video game scene throughout this entire time. PES games have always focused on the playability and likeness to real football, whereas FIFA has predominantly been about being 'official', sacrificing game play for licensing and an arcade style of play.

The franchise has undergone several name changes in Europe and North America, at the moment the games are called PES followed by the next year to release year, so this year's latest installment released this October, will be called PES 2013.

The initial name of Goal Storm was kept for just one year, before being changed to ISS Pro in 1997. Then it changed to ISS Pro 98 followed by ISS Pro Evolution in May 1999, making this the first time that 'Evolution' had appeared in the title. At this point in the history of the game, updates weren't released at regular intervals and the first time I was introduced to the game was in 2001, with the arrival of ISS Pro Evolution 2.

Unlike in Europe and North America, in Japan - home of Konami, Pro Evo has retained the moniker 'Winning Eleven' since inception, with the prefix of 'World Soccer' being added after the first few years.

What made Pro Evo stand apart from other football games was the way the game played. The view of the action was side on and the ball could be kicked in any direction, unlike the FIFA games in which any directional shot would always fly towards goal, making the game seem staged.

Previous games which stayed true to football, such as Sensible Soccer, had top down views, which meant you played by either running up or down the television/monitor screen. Graphics were limited back in the 1990's, but FIFA and Pro Evo started to change all of this - taking their respective games in different directions game play wise.

From the onset Pro Evolution Soccer never had naming rights for the players or teams, so early on in the franchise an editing option was created in the game. This allowed savvy gamers to edit the players and teams, replacing fake names with real ones. I remember spending hours recreating football strips and renaming all the players, until PES fan forums started a trend towards option files and max drives.

These saved option files were created by groups of fans and then uploaded via the internet to forum pages and download sites, so that all fans could quickly save and rename all the players in the game. Now they had better looking players, kits and real names, but it still didn't compare to the official licenses of FIFA, but it didn't have to, players simply wanted a resemblance, as it's always been the game play that brings back fans year on year to Pro Evo.

This game play was honed over the following years as ISS Pro Evolution 2 became Pro Evolution Soccer in 2001. Game play was being tweaked all the time with AI (artificial intelligence) making the game smarter and the game speeds changed regularly, sometimes speeding up and then slowing down for the next release, as Konami tried to find the balance. Tackling became more of an art, instead of just button smashing and training modes were introduced to allow players to practice before doing things in real games.

Discussion on PES forums alluded to FIFA getting literally shirty with Konami on licensing issues, by forcing Konami to make the fake team names even more obscure (Manchester United were no longer 'Man Red', they were now 'Aragon!'). This provided new challenges for the edit masters and fans always hoped that Konami would battle for the licenses for the next game - to date this still hasn't happened taking into account PES 2013.

In Pro Evolution Soccer 2 commentators Peter Brackley (voice of Football Italia on Channel 4) and Trevor Brooking were introduced to add a new dimension in the realism stakes. Hearing somebody famous talk about your team during play sounded exciting in principle, but limitations in the technology meant that this could quickly become boring, monotone and often, irrelevant.

By comparison, music was introduced to the menu screen, with Queen belting out 'We Will Rock you' and 'We Are The Champions' amongst other artists and tracks. Music in the menus was a welcome addition as you could very often spend long periods of time negotiating these pages, especially if you were editing. This has been a feature Konami has maintained and improved over the years, right up until the present, often using small, unheard or unknown groups and giving them a platform to reach people through with their music.

In Part Two of PES games we'll look at the continuing battle with FIFA, the movement to online and high definition gaming and how PES hopes to regain its football video game crown with PES 2013.

When I write about Pro Evo or PES 2013, I write from the heart and from personal experience. I've been playing the games for years, on my own, with friends and online. They can bring immense pleasure and as many PES fans will know, immense annoyance as well!

After writing other articles I've finally decided to write about something that comes natural to me. Maybe in the future I'll lobby 'Seabass' to request other improvements in the game, but that's a future article!
